What is it about?

About enhancing materials' properties of 3D printed magnetocaloric devices by using magnetic field. The easy axis of the magnetocaloric particles is aligned with the applied magnetic field while printing hence obtaining enhanced magnetic permeability in a desired axis.

This preferential directional printing can enhance the magnetocaloric device performance.


With this novel additive manufacturing process, we are getting closer to developing more efficient magnetic cooling devices.
