What is it about?
Model predictive control with norm1 cost function could be applied for many practical problems such as traffic control. We have represented a novel and very fast algorithm based on sensitivity analysis and the simplex method to solve it for implementation in practice.

Why is it important?
Our algorithm is very fast and easy for implementation to solve l1 MPC. This strategy reduces the runtime of solving online optimization. So the MPC control and online optimization problem can be applied for large scale systems or fast systems.
Perspectives
We hope this article can be extended the application of the MPC control for a wide range of practical systems.
