Why is it important?
There is very limited research on self-advocacy in the autistic population. Individuals on the autism spectrum want to be stronger self-advocates and clinical service providers want to learn how to promote or support self-advocacy. However, we do not have guidance on how to do this. So, a tutorial was created to help provide strategies for SLPs/SLTs.
