What is it about?

This paper presents a new questionnaire to help speech-language pathologists and others working with gender diverse clients on gender-affirming communication care. This builds on the original version of the Communicative Participation Item Bank (CPIB), with new item wording and scoring guide for gender-diverse clients.

Perspectives

My goal is to use this tool to better understand how the presentation of gender in facial features can impact an individual’s comfort and participation in communication.
