Why is it important?

Low-wage workers are and will continue to be impacted by COVID-19 more severely than other workers, and these roles are disproportionately held by women of all races and minority men. The present commentary identifies potential adverse effects on the mental health of this population, and provides recommendations to maintain the safety, wellbeing, and dignity of low-wage workers.

Perspectives

Despite being a pressing reality for millions of workers in the United States, low-wage work is often overlooked in organizational psychology. I think it's so important to call attention to and understand the experiences of low-wage workers.
