Why is it important?

The 92-item questionnaire is divided into 4 parts: Mobile game play and preference, addiction, personality, and demographics. The first section encompasses items related to mobile game play preference, frequency of play, and locale. The second section includes 5-point Likert-type scale items related to video game addiction. While the third part (also comprising Likert-type scale items) entails the Big Five Inventory (BFI): Openness (10 items), conscientiousness (8 items), extroversion (10 items), agreeableness (6 items), and neuroticism (10 items). Finally, the last section captures demographics. The questionnaire was presented in Korean. Using high school and university students for the sample, results of a reliability test for the personality type constructs revealed that Cronbach’s alpha fell between .815 and .885 (Seok & DaCosta, 2015).
