Why is it important?
This is important because internationally adopted adolescents deal with a lot of issues that many of their adolescent peers do not have to contend with (e.g., struggles with identity development). An understanding of the roles of various stressors on internationally adopted adolescents can help educators and parents to support their academic efforts.
