What is it about?
Adolescents and mothers, each with their unique family roles, may have distinct perspectives on parenting. Their perceptions of parenting may change when navigating and adjusting to challenges regarding developmental changes during adolescence. Such transitions in perceived parenting may reflect family dynamics that influence both mothers' and adolescents' internalizing symptoms. This study reveals how internalizing symptoms in mothers and adolescents change during adolescence across families that exhibit varying transition patterns of perceived parenting.
