What is it about?
Kashmir has been at the heart of the armed conflict between India and Pakistan since 1989. Since then Kashmiri people have been victims of violence across the board, specifically youth. This conflict has taken a huge toll wherein more than 100,000 individuals lost their life. Therefore. efforts should be made to resolve the conflicts permanently to restore peace in the entire region

Why is it important?
This is the first study which has focused on the prevalence of conflict trauma among youth in Kashmir from all the ten districts.
Perspectives
The people of Kashmir are highly traumatized, specifically the youth resulting adverse effects on their health and well-being, economy, employment and so forth.
