What is it about?
We study experimentally the three-dimensional flow structure of a single vortex or a complex vortical structure with two or three interacting vortices that appear close to the heat sources. It has been found that the partial blockage modulates the oscillatory flow and thermal response.

Why is it important?
Explores potential applications in electronic cooling systems aimed to increase power dissipation and to ensure the reliability and durability of these systems.
Perspectives
The flow and temperature distributions can experience an oscillatory behavior associated to variations in size of a complex vortical structure that occupies the spatial region near the partial blockage and that extends to downstream positions of the latter.
