This article assessed the adoption of Big Data in the 24 research institutes in Kenya Data in the production of official statistics. By using the well-known Technology Adoption Model (TAM) the paper outlines the risks and challenges of using Big Data in statistics and identifies the determinants of adoption of Big Data in statistics.
