What is it about?
This study discusses the development and psychometric properties of the electronic Pain Assessment Tool (ePAT). ePAT is a point of care App, which utilises automated facial recognition and analysis, digitisation, and clinical indicators to evaluate pain in people with moderate to severe dementia.

Pain is highly common in people with dementia and yet it often goes undetected, and undertreated. There is a great need for innovative pain assessment tools targeted for people with dementia.
