What is it about?

This project is to analyze the first 100 patients seen at a Dementia Clinic to see if the distribution of type of dementia can explain why the population in this Region is protected from Dementia. Unlike the rest of the world where Alzheimer disease is the commonest type of dementia, in our study, the commonest type of dementia was Lewy Body Dementia. This is a milder kind of dementia with a good prognosis.
