What is it about?

Low-frequency pitch perception may be influenced by the location of the electrode array within the cochlea and the coding strategy. We demonstrate relatively accurate and asymptotic pitch perception observed at the 1-month interval in subjects implanted with a long electrode array and listening with a coding strategy providing place and rate cues.
