What is it about?

We develop an unique synthesis-process of Bi4Ge3O12 powder. Bi4Ge3O12 is a famous scintiator material. Based on our process, well-crystallized Bi4Ge3O12 powder can be synthesized at room tempearature under atmospheric pressure.

Why is it important?

For the Bi4Ge3O12 synthesis, above 1123 K is necessary even one applies any sol-gel method. By this mean, the synthesis temperature under atmospheric pressure decreases about 830 K.

Perspectives

I believe, similar reaction route exists in the other chemical system. I want to search the room temperature synthesis route for functional materials.
