What is it about?
This study examines how mentorship programs can improve the quality and visibility of academic journals in Indonesia. Universitas Airlangga implemented a structured mentoring system, where experienced editors guided journal managers in improving publication standards, editorial policies, and indexing strategies. As a result, 14 journals were indexed in Scopus, 1 in Web of Science, 85 in SINTA, and 60 in DOAJ. The mentoring included training on submission, management, and compliance with international standards, helping journals achieve higher rankings. This study serves as a model for universities looking to improve their academic journal quality and increase global recognition.
