What is it about?
This study is about understanding why people in Indonesia are willing to use and pay for smart home technology. It looks at factors like how easy it is to use, government support, trust, and social influence to see what motivates people to adopt these technologies and spend money on them. The goal is to help businesses and policymakers make smart homes more appealing and accessible in Indonesia.

Why is it important?
This research is important because smart home technology can make life easier, safer, and more efficient. Understanding what encourages people to use and pay for these technologies helps businesses create better products and helps the government support smart home adoption. This can lead to smarter living spaces and improve the quality of life for people in Indonesia.
Perspectives
This paper holds special significance for me as it was written in collaboration with one of my students, who works at PLN, the Indonesian National Electricity Company. Together, we explored how smart home technology can align with Indonesia's growing energy needs and digital transformation.
