What is it about?

Housing is a basic necessity of life. The provision of adequate housing is a perennial problem confronting the nations of the world. The problem is more challenging in the developing countries like Nigeria. Nigeria with a population estimated at over 200 million people are plagued with a shortage of quality and adequate housing. The demographics from the National Bureau of Statistics show the median age of 22.7 years. More than 60% of the population is less than 65 years. The implication is that more houses will be required to meet the need of the younger population with attendant environmental, social, and economic problems. Increased consumption of physical and environmental resources is required for the development of more houses.
