Why is it important?

Antioxidative activity, polyphenol and other biomaterial contents have been measured so far to assess antithrombotic activity of fruits and vegetable. But fruits and vegetables are eaten as a whole. Overall antithrombotic activity of fruit and vegetable varieties was assessed by a new test using non-anticoagulated blood. Varieties were classified by varieties with antithrombotic, enhancing activity and without them.

Daily intake of various antithrombotic fruit and vegetable varieties could prevent thrombotic disorders such as stroke and cardiovascular diseases.
