What is it about?
Translation students increase their efficiency in different uses of translation technologies such as peripherals, Web searches, CAT tools, and text editors. They do not perceive all technologies as equally important for the translator's profession.

Translation technology is perceived as very important for the translator's profession. It is therefore important to understand how students perceive this technology and how they use it.
Perspectives
This was the first article in which we tried to understand how translation technologies are perceived and used by translation students. A second article (also published in Tradumàtica) focuses on the different tools that students and graduate use in different stages of their learning process.
