What is it about?
This study aims to understand the approach to English as an International Language learning and its effects on its learners, such as culture and intercultural relations, assessment and native-like fluency among others.

Why is it important?
This study shows that English as an International Language still lacks in certain areas, such as intercultural communication among its learners, therefore there needs to be improvements made. The results of this study serves as a tool to make the learning process of English as an International Language better, making necessary changes where it is needed.
Perspectives
think that this study has clearly shown that while English as a language has managed to be crossed borders and become a lingua franca, the language learning process however, tend to not give importance to students’ culture. Most of the time, many focus is given on Euro-centric examples and culture but less focus is given on the learners’ own culture, making English speakers seem to take up on Western attributes rather than local ones. This also shows in how much importance is given to attain native-like fluency, rather than just competency in grammar or writing skills. Therefore, this study, for me, serves as an important reminder on how we can make English as an International Language, a more inclusive learning process.
