What is it about?

We apply the concept of comparative advantage in the context of Ghanaian crop farmers based on profit efficiency. Land is a scarce production resource and must be put to the most profitable use. In this paper, we demonstrate that farmers are better of specializing in one crop production and profit efficiency can be used as a decision making tool.

Why is it important?

Considering the fact that urbanization is putting a great strain on cultivable lands in developing countries, there is need to embrace the concept of comparative advantage and specialize in crop production. This research provides a decision tool for sch an endeavour.
