What is it about?

This study presents a comprehensive Arabic psychometric test battery designed to assess leadership and managerial competencies objectively. The battery brings together cognitive, emotional, personality, ethical, and behavioral dimensions within an integrated assessment framework. It aims to move leadership evaluation beyond personal impressions and seniority by using measurable psychological and competency-based indicators. The battery can support the identification, selection, and development of individuals with leadership and managerial potential.

Why is it important?

Leadership decisions are often influenced by subjective judgments, personal impressions, or professional seniority. This research offers a more objective and scientifically grounded approach to assessing leadership and managerial potential. By integrating multiple psychological and competency domains into a comprehensive Arabic test battery, the study provides a practical framework that may improve leadership selection, development, and organizational decision-making. It also contributes to addressing the need for culturally relevant psychometric assessment tools in Arabic-speaking contexts.

Perspectives

I developed this work from a strong interest in psychological measurement and the scientific assessment of human competencies. In my view, leadership should not be judged solely through impressions, job titles, or years of service. It should be examined through measurable cognitive, emotional, ethical, and behavioral capacities. This research represents an effort to provide a comprehensive Arabic psychometric framework that can contribute to more evidence-based approaches to leadership assessment and development.
