What is it about?
Taking a life span approach I consider both how the needs for this population may be the same or different, and then how they are actually catered for.

Why is it important?
Women with intellectual impairments are often in more vulnerable situations (e.g. poverty, dependence etc.) which has implications for their health needs. However, due to factors such as their invisibility, lack of access, stigma and discrimination they may receive very poor health care.
