What is it about?
This essay explores the concept of forgiveness from the perspective of Psychology as the Discipline of Interiority (based on the work of Wolfgang Giegerich), beginning with the question of whether forgiveness is psychological at all. Ultimately, a distinction is made between ego-forgiveness and true forgiveness, following Giegerich's notion of the Psychological Difference, or the difference between ego and soul in psychology.
