What is it about?

This is about the Modular Cognition Framework with special reference to the acquiring of a second or other language. It is part of a volume devoted to explaining alternative approaches to this subject, all of which are written to respond to a specific set of questions posed by the volume editors and designed for a wide readership that includes not only students of second language acquisition theory but also applied linguists, language teaching practitioners and students of multilingualism as well.
