What is it about?
This chapter aims to contribute to the growing literature by looking at how mobile communication is used for inception, mobilization, and organization in social movements in the Global South. This study also aims to understand how mobile communication leads an online movement to an offline one in a region with low socioeconomic status and limited access to ICTs. To do so, this qualitative study explores the Shahbag movement in Bangladesh.
