This is a chapter in the book entitled "Social impact Assessment in India: Learning from the Field" edited by A.K.Sinha, Ratika Thakur, Avanee Khatri(2023) published by SAGE Spectrum: New Delhi. In this book chapter(9), I have discussed about the module on social impact assessment prepared by the Anthropological Survey of India, Govt. of India in 2010.

Perspectives

I looked at the shortcomings of the aforesaid AnSI module in the context of the new Land Acquisition law promulgated in India in 2013.
