What is it about?
In its 5th edition, the chapters have been updated to present unique data on women in the professions related to criminal justice and the militarization of policing. Reproductive rights are explored in the chapter on women and the law with personal interviews with feminist lawyers. The correctional chapters describe strategies drawn from gender- and trauma informed care and motivational interviewing for addiction treatment. Racial and ethnic issues are stressed throughout the chapters.
