Why is it important?

Our focus on the semantic content of thought elides the syntagmatic aspect of thought as affect. Understanding thought in affectual terms, opens the way to seeing content and form in relations that inform and give shape to emotions.

Perspectives

This personal account of having been affected by reading a novel by Australian author Charlotte Wood, analyses the experience through the lens of thought-as-affect.
