Why is it important?

Based on the research study and other published sources, it is evident that there are varying levels of familiarity with enterprise architecture (EA) frameworks among intergovernmental organizations (IGOs). More research needs to be conducted in order to support information professionals as they explore the potential benefits of utilizing EA within their respective fields.

Perspectives

In this chapter I discussed the evolution of the enterprise architecture (EA) field specifically focusing on intergovernmental organizations (IGOs), examining how individuals, including information professionals, perceive and understand EA.
