What is it about?
Antigone is a famous 'rebel' originating from Sophocles' Antigone. It is the story of a young woman who resists the decision of the king of her city, Thebes, to prohibit the burial of her brother killed in the battlefield the previous night and considered to be a traitor. Antigone is executed because she violates the decree of the king. The story is traced from the celebrated Greek tragedy to contemporary works, be it literature, theatre, cinema, social projects etc
