Recently, the market for health functional food is diversifying and increasing. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the contamination level of food hygiene indicator microorganisms and to establish a better sampling plan for health functional foods.

Why is it important?

This study aimed to monitor microbial contamination level in a variety of health functional foods and to establish new microbial criteria.


These results can potentially be used to update the microbial criteria of the Health Functional Food Code.
