What is it about?

During the development of new drugs it is important to understand how much of the dose is absorbed, where it distributes to how and how it is eliminated from the body. Accurate and precise methods of measuring drug concentrations in blood or body tissues help us to understand what the body does with the drug. So once a sample of blood or tissue is withdrawn from a patient every care must be taken to ensure the drug is stable so that an accurate and precise measurement can be made.
