Why is it important?
Today's graduates need skills that were not required in the past, and educators have the responsibility to build them into their teaching. In a globalised society where people constantly interact with others in different environments, mediation and soft skills are key elements of students' preparation.
Perspectives
Linguistic mediation, as described in the CEFR Companion Volume, has become one of my main research interests. This chapter explores how it can help university students develop the soft skills they need.
