Why is it important?
This work is a good idea, how to minimize the energy usage and running cost for corn drying. In this case, the ambient air as drying medium is dehumidified by desiccant. With low air relative humidity, the driving force for drying can be enhanced. Hence, the process can be carried out at low or medium temperature in which retains the product quality, reduces drying time as well as enhances the energy efficiency.
Perspectives
The air dehumidification can be a breakthrough for reducing energy usage and retaining product quality. With low air relative humidity, the driving force for the drying process is enhanced. As a result, the process can be well carried out at low or medium temperature. The process can retain product quality and minimize the energy usage. It can be potential to reduce running cost for drying.
