What is it about?

The paper contains productivity- based evaluation methodology in order to assess the real performance of sugarcane cultivars. the methodology gives real worth of a variety based on sugar recovery of at least 9.5% during whole harvesting period of 23 sugarcane cultivars. The technique also points out the Efficient Production Period of a variety to be harvested within to give excessively useful recovery. The results are presented in the forms of tables, graphs and dendrogram. The paper is worth for reading and citation.

Why is it important?

The paper is important to look into the assessed worth of 23 elite sugarcane varieties based on productivity - a methodology developed on sensible grounds keeping their juice, brix, pol, purity and sucrose recovery contents in view, and hence varietal performance during their whole harvesting period from early maturity to late harvesting periods till chilling season of the year. The methodology has never been reported previously.
