Why is it important?

Resilience is a topic analyzed within many sports, but rarely in equestrian activities. This study brings clarification on how show jumping athletes may improve resilient abilities, and on how further research may benefit these athletes.

Perspectives

This study brings a perspective of growth, not only as athletes but as individuals. Results show that the ability to overcome adversities is not merely a trait, but can be acquired with psychological strategies, that can be practiced by each of us. It is under our control to recover and to be better in all aspects of our lives. This and other studies may help us to achieve our goals, by knowing it is up to us to be who we want to be.
