Why is it important?
This article forms part of a collections of essays published by leading Francophone review "Presence Africaine" to commemorate the centenary of Cesaire's birth in 1915.
Perspectives
Cahier is an incredibly complex text, and here I reflect on the need for resources to help students navigate the poem, with a case study of my own online resource. It results from the paper I gave at a ground-breaking conference celebrating Cesaire's entire work at Cerisy-la-Salle in 2013.
