Why is it important?

There exists an idea, at least among the /xam San, that it is possible for humans to communicate with bees by means of sound/vibration.

Perspectives

Bees are beset by colony collapse disorder (CCD), neonicotinoid poison, loss of habitat and other ailments but as the /xam San example indicates this was not always so: there was a time when bees and humans co-existed without detriment to honeybees.
