What is it about?
The article examines the perspectives of Black parents and Black women in conducting a study in their local context and how their participatory research project began to shift and evolve in ways that promoted more healing and love.

Why is it important?
Changing how we do research is essential to creating spaces where people feel and embrace rest, feel a sense of connectedness, and are actively working to transform themselves while working to transform the conditions of their communities. This articles shares how we can do that by centering Black women and embracing different practices in research.
