Perspectives
Now that we know the potential of using online food ordering systems to support healthy food choices, we now need to establish if it is possible to support companies to do this (e.g. UberEats, Deliveroo, McDonalds, HelloFresh, Supermarkets). Companies will need to know what the impact is on the bottom line of modifying their platforms to support healthy choices. For now though, our research group is doing some promising work in online school canteens, where they have shown their is minimal impact on bottom line, but good impacts on healthy food choices (which can be accessed from the resources section).
