What is it about?

Our study examines the severe flooding event in Bahía Blanca, Argentina, on March 7, 2025, which resulted in tragic fatalities and extensive urban impact. We highlight how exceptional precipitation and specific atmospheric conditions contributed to this disaster, emphasizing the importance of integrating diverse data sources, namely collaborative networks that allowed for the collection of additional information through online platforms, social media, and other technologies. Such information was crucial to complement the flood assessment made by remote monitoring.
