What is it about?
This study examines how almost one thousand future teachers at the University of Seville adapt to new digital learning scenarios after the pandemic, focusing on motivation, collaboration, self-learning and digital methodologies. It identifies three adaptation models: initial, moderate and advanced.

Why is it important?
The study shows that not all students adapt to digital teaching in the same way and that there are distinct profiles according to their digital and motivational competences. Understanding these models helps to design better targeted support and training experiences for future teachers in hybrid and rapidly changing educational contexts.
Perspectives
From my perspective, this article confirms that future teachers’ digital adaptation is a progressive process, shaped by their motivation, ability to collaborate and autonomy. These findings guide institutional decisions to better support students in the digital transformation and in building more sustainable learning environments
