With data from China, this study examined the association between mobile phone use and life satisfaction. Results show that mobile phone use is negatively associated with life satisfaction. The passible pathways may be that mobile phone use results in more internet credit use, which then causes lower life satisfaction.

The negative association between mobile phone use and life satisfaction is concentrated among those with low-risk preference and low-risk asset holdings.
