Why is it important?
If we want to design effective training courses, we first need to know what the main problems are for translation students.
Perspectives
The paper draws on the observational data collected during the study, but also on my teaching experience. I have been training information-seeking skills in translation classes for ten years now. I see the same mistakes being repeated every year. This was my main motivation for writing this paper, which I hope will help other teachers in this field.
