Key role of career guidance is to support individual to be able to deal with unpredictable career decisions and to generate beneficial unplanned events in their life. This article has been using Krumboltz’s happenstance learning theory to describe necessary changes in Hungary; how career guidance and career planning can be seen in the 21th century.
