What is it about?
In this paper, we propose fuzzy reasoning algorithms based on similarity for fuzzy modus ponens and fuzzy modus tollens and discuss the reducibility of the algorithms. Moreover, we investigate the robustness of fuzzy reasoning algorithms based on similarity.

Why is it important?
In this paper, we propose fuzzy reasoning algorithms based on similarity for solving FMP and FMT, which can overcome the defects of the quintuple implication principle. The solutions of fuzzy reasoning algorithms based on similarity are given.
Perspectives
In order to overcome the defects of the QIP algorithms, in this paper, we propose fuzzy reasoning algorithms based on similarity for FMP and FMT. We prove that the recoverable and the robustness of fuzzy reasoning algorithms based on left continuous triangular norms induced residual implications.
