What is it about?
Glutamine is a amino acid that circulates in our blood. We found evidence that higher levels of glutamine were associated with a lower risk of late-onset Alzheimer's disease, supporting prior evidence with new data.

Why is it important?
This is important because it could point us to therapeutic targets to prevent or treat Alzheimer's disease.
Perspectives
We are excited that we were able to provide more support for the protective effect of glutamine for Alzheimer's disease, and hope that it can provide avenues for future research to better understand the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease, and to develop therapeutic approaches to prevent it.
