What is it about?

Automatic human Activity Recognition (AR) is an important process for the provision of context-aware services in smart spaces such as voice-controlled smart homes. This paper reports results of experiments related to AR made in 2 Smart Homes including a Living Lab in realistic conditions.

Why is it important?

In this paper, we present an ON-LINE activity recognition method for AR within homes in which multiple sensors, actuators and home automation equipments coexist. Moreover, during dataset recordings, participants are playing Activity of Daily Living (ADL).

Perspectives

The results of this study will be used in a new project related to robust voice command adapted to the user and to the context for Ambient Assisted Living (AAL).
